I fully appreciate that British (and indeed many, many other) cultures have adopted a great deal of ‘Americanisms’ into their language but to be met in Boots, Crouch End, London today by “Have a good one, yeah?”, by which I presume he meant “Have a nice day!” (To which I have no objection) was slightly disconcerting. Not so keen on the American/ London youth culture clash at work there. But still, it made me laugh! Although I don’t suppose that was his intention. Maybe it will be a “good one” after all.
